Peel makes stickers on your phone and shares them with your friends. It used to be called Collagearonis; it is the same app.

Getting started

Find your way around

Peel opens on Stickers, where everything you have peeled lives. Wall is every sticker you have ever added, growing as they come. The bar at the bottom has Stickers, Wall, a +, Map and Me. The + makes a sticker, and Me is your friends and spaces.

Make a sticker

Tap +. Take a photo of something, or tap Photos to use a picture you already have, and the subject is cut out. Give it a name and a collection if you like, then peel it off its backing. Peeling is what saves it, and it lands in Stickers.

Edit a sticker

Tap a sticker to open it. Shape makes it die-cut, rounded, a circle, a heart, a stamp or a badge, with or without a border. Edge softens the cut and colours the border. Refine is a brush that restores or erases parts of the cut-out. In Simple mode, Refine, Crop and Filter are under More. Hold a sticker in the list to favorite it or move it to a collection.

Pick a shape as you shoot

In the sticker camera, Whole photo keeps the picture instead of cutting the subject out. Choose a shape at the top of the viewfinder and the camera shows the finished sticker, border and all, before you take it. The app remembers the shape and border you used last and starts the next sticker with them.

The back of a sticker

Open a sticker and tap it to turn it over. The back says when its photo was taken, on what, and where, if you allowed location or the photo carried a place; tap the place to open it in Maps. Tap again to turn it back. Hold the sticker, or use the three dots at the top, to Revert to original and undo every edit at once.

Share a sticker

Sign in, then add a friend with their code, a QR code or an invitation link, and make a space for any group. A sticker you send goes to everyone, to the friends you pick or to a space, and lands on top of their pile on the Me tab. They peel it to see it.

Change the look

Tap the menu button at the top right of the Stickers tab, then Theme. Simple Light is quiet white and ink, Simple Dark turns it over, and Wild is yellow and blue. Your pages and stickers stay as they are.

Common questions

Where did Collagearonis go?

It is called Peel now. The name and the look changed, and your stickers are all still there.

Where did the collages go?

Collages and photobooks now live in Peel Studio, a separate app from Tsumida AI. Peel is for stickers and friends.

It asks for Photos access. Why?

On iPhone and iPad, to read the photos you pick and to save a sticker back. That is the only reason, and your photos are never uploaded to us (iCloud sync, if you turn it on, keeps a copy in your own iCloud, which we never see). On Android it does not ask: you pick through the system photo picker.

It asks for the camera. Why?

To take the photo a sticker is cut from. That is the only reason, and the photo stays on your phone (and in your own iCloud, with the sticker, if you turn on iCloud sync). You can say no and make stickers from photos you already have.

It asks for my location. Why?

So the back of a sticker can say where its photo was taken, and the Map tab can show the sticker on a map. It is read only while you are making a sticker and it stays with the sticker, on your phone (and in your own iCloud, if you turn on iCloud sync). You can say no; stickers then carry no place.

Remove background does nothing

On iPhone it uses Apple's on-device subject detection and needs iOS 17 or later. On Android it uses Google's ML Kit: the first time, Google Play services downloads the model (a few megabytes), so it needs a connection once. Either way it needs a clear subject; on a landscape or a texture it will say no subject was found.

Does it need an account?

Not to make stickers. Signing in with Google, LINE or Apple is optional and the app makes stickers without it: an account does not sync or upload your work, and there is no subscription. Friends and spaces need an account, so your friends know it is you. To remove one, go to Settings, then Account, then Delete account, or see Delete your account.

Is it free?

Yes. Stickers and every tool in them are free, with no subscription.

Write to hello@tsumida.ai. Say which phone and which iOS or Android version you are on, and what you tapped. A screen recording helps a lot.
